The Croatian National Tourist Board on Thursday held a business conference for representatives of ten leading Russian and Ukrainian tour operators to acquaint them with the potential of the tourist trade in the Sibenik and Zadar areas.

In the first nine months this year, Russian tourists made 1.26 million overnight stays in Croatia with 11 percent of this number registered in Dalmatia.

This was an increase of 42 percent in comparison to the same period in 2006.

The increase in the overnight stays made by Ukrainian holiday makers in the first nine months of 2007 was 80 percent.
