The Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) on Thursday adopted a work plan for 2008 and elected Niko Bulic to the post of HTZ Main Office director for a third consecutive four-year term.

The HTZ work plan in 2008 was adopted at a session of the HTZ Council held as part of the Croatian Tourism Days event in Cavtat.

The draft work plan for 2008 envisages a further increase in tourist turnover of 2-3 percent and a rise in tourism revenue of five percent, to amount to 7.27 billion euros.

Prices in the tourist sector in 2008 are expected to increase by three percent on average.

Speaking of this year's tourist season, the state secretary for tourism, Zdenko Micic, said that figures were favourable and that all of the country's regions had reported an increase in tourist turnover. (Hina)
