Over 10 Million Tourists in Croatia in 2006

In the first eleven months of 2006, over ten million tourists visited Croatia, according to preliminary data issued by the Central Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday.

Besides 10.22 million tourist arrivals, the same sources registered 52.65 million overnight stays.

The number of arrivals rose by 3.7 percent in comparison to the first eleven months in 2005.

Of those 10.22 million tourists, 8.6 million were foreigners.

In November 2006, 187,196 tourists visited Croatia where they spent 446,601 nights.

The number of their arrivals in November rose by 21.9 percent in comparison to November 2005, and overnight stays climbed by 20.6 percent.
