(photo: FaH)The Croatian National Tourist Office in New York and the Croatian agency Speranza were exhibited at the Jacob Javits Center in New York at the New York Times Travel Show on February 23-25.

About 500 exhibitors from all over the world took part in the tourism fair, which logged about 20,000 visitors.

As in previous years, Croatia attracted a high number of visitors, with the majority showing an interest in the northern Adriatic peninsula of Istria.

The Croatian National Tourist Office in New York also took part in the ETC Canada Breakfast Trade Show seminar in Vancouver on February 23, where Croatia was presented to about 130 Canadian tourism workers.

Croatia's prospects of becoming a favorite destination in Canada are growing, due to 16 articles published last year, including prominent features in Globe and Mail and Hello magazine.
