Gov't formulates bills on tourist trade

The Croatian Government on Friday sent to parliament a final bill regulating tourist trade.

The bill envisages the full liberalisation of services in tourism with Croatia's entry into the European Union, if this field is not regulated by international agreements in the meantime.

"Upon Croatia's admission to the EU, foreigners will be allowed to offer tourist services in Croatia under the same conditions as Croatian nationals," the Tourism Minister, Božidar Kalmeta, said at a government session in the town of Zaprešić on Friday.

The law is to go into force at the start of November this year.
